Testing A New Format In The SOCIAL Forum
We are testing a new format on the Social "Chit-Chat" forum. People have mentioned they would like to go directly to the most recent post first... and other suggestions... So I decided to try/test...

Much better! The page is a little hard to read--not sure if it is my eyes or the layout--or both, but this saves a ton of clicking and scrolling that was, at times, very frustrating. If I think of an...

Hmmmm, at first I didn't like it. Reminded me of other forums. But after giving it a good look, I can see it has it's advantages. As Jan said, much less scrolling. Thanks for this option, Mrs. John....

Ah! Just realized what was bothering me...The list of posts in each section needs to start with the most recent first, (at the top of list) down to the first (original) post, in sequential order.

I'm gonna be the nay sayer. I don't really like it....but it's not the end of the world, either! Cheryl Cle Elum, Wa.

It's kind of mind boggling when you first view the forum, isn't it? It'll probably get better as we get used to it.

Hmmmmm.......another naysayer here as well. Not sure I even what to get use to it.

With use, I'm finding that I do not like the lengthy scrolling required to find out if there are any new posts in the topics down on the lists. If Donna posts new puppy pics, I might miss them!

I will say I am not sure I like it... although anything new takes some getting used to! REMEMBER: we are just running a test, so it can go back to 'normal'! :) I will leave it this way for a few more...

I noticed the same thing Janice. I am not quite sure if the new format meets the need. Takes some getting used to. I saw it yesterday before Mrs. J announced it and I thought something was wrong with...

One advantage to the new format is finding the threads. Let's test this for awhile and see if we like it or not.

If we have a vote on the format, I think I prefer the same as the rest of the forum.

Hi, I agree also, it is a little lengthy going through all those messages. The less I scroll the better. Fred in NJ

It scares me a little! Don't like the test format so much. Clicking the page numbers and just scrolling to newest message works well when I remember to start there. ;)

Yeah! I think it will be better. But it was good to try it anyway.

I agree.....that would be best. Keep it the same as the rest of the site. Cheryl in frozen Cle Elum, Wa.
